Project Who 50: #61 Alpha Centauri
Another in my character portraits leading up to the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, this time from the third Doctor story "The Curse Of Peladon".
Shall I tell you a story? Lennie Mayne, the director of Curse, upon entering the studio and seeing Alpha Centauri famously said "It looks like a giant dick!" (cause we Australians are nothing if not subtle
). Costume were immediately sent back to work and added a long yellow cape. Mayne said, on seeing it "fixed", "Now it looks like a giant dick in a dress!"
